In Beijing the requirements for nitrogen oxides (NOx) for natural gas-fired district heating plants have changed form 100 mg (a level required in a few European capitals) to 30 mg per normal cubic meter mg/Nm3. Oilon has developed a new solution for this problem of cutting down emissions drastically without compromising efficiency.

Oilon has supplied this globally unique combustion technology to Beijing Thermal, a district heating plant in the center of Beijing, with the deal comprising of three 58 MW boilers.

One of these boiler has already been commissioned and has reached NOx emissions levels of under 30 mg/ Nm3. The two unused boilers will be commissioned when heating is required again.

Over the years, Oilon has delivered more than 8,000 MW of gas burners to Beijing to replace coal plants that worsen the air quality.
