Savo-Solar's solar energy collector business is going strong in the highly challenging Danish solar market. Savo-Solar will deliver another solar collector field to a district heating plant in Denmark – this time to Jyderup plant, owned by the energy company Fors A/S.

The contract, worth approximately EUR 1.5 million, is continuation to Savo-Solar’s recent solar collector delivery deal for district heating plant in Søllested, Denmark

"We are very pleased to sign the contract with Fors A/S as it is yet another proof of our competitive edge in the challenging market in Denmark. The main criteria when choosing the collector supplier were the energy price and energy density. With our latest product development, the double-glazed collector, we were able to offer the customer the most economical solution," says Managing Director Jari Varjotie.

Fors A/S also operates another two district heating plants in Denmark. The delivery is scheduled to take place during the autumn of 2016.

Savo-Solar was selected among the top 30 of Europe's most promising energy start-ups recently in Vaasa EnergyWeek, which is the biggest energy event in Finland.
